Molex expands BradConnectivity valve line

June 25, 2008 -- Molex (www.molex.com) has expanded its range of BradConnectivity mPm valve connectors with a new family of overmolded Junior Timer connectors in straight and 90 degree versions.

According to the company, these pre-wired overmolded connectors offer an economical alternative to hard wiring, and mate with industry standard Junior Timer connector interfaces on solenoids and other mobile hydraulics devices and harsh environment applications.

The Junior Timer connectors are also available with surge suppression circuitry that extends the life of the coil and control circuitry. LED indication is built into the connector head for easy identification of system status.

"Due to its enormous energy efficiency, along with long-term reliability, Molex is adding LED lighting technology to its products as part of our continued commitment to develop and manufacture in ways that help support a sustainable global environment," says Antonio Cantoni, global product marketing manager at Molex. "In addition to being greener, our overmolded connectors with pre-wired cable [i.e. cordsets] increase performance and lower cost, compared with hard wiring."

With an IP65 environmental rating, the Junior Timer provides protection in harsh and demanding environments. Plus the cable locking clip protects the connection in high vibration applications, maintains the company.

The Junior Timer cordsets are 100 percent electrically tested for Plug & Play performance. Integrated surge suppression circuitry (VDR) protects the system and extends overall life.
