May 13, 2008 -- Cable and wire harness assembly manufacturer Actronix, Inc. has selected Edge Electronics, Inc. as its first distributor.
Edge Electronics is based in New York, with offices in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida and California. With a focus on electronic component distribution, Edge will aid Actronix in identifying and providing custom solutions to customers in the medical, instrumentation, communications and security and defense industries.
"Part of the fundamental success of Actronix is matching customers with highest-quality product for their applications," comments Tim Grant, president and CEO of Actronix. "Through this partnership with Edge Electronics, Actronix will have a greater bandwidth to meet our customers' needs."
According to Edge's president and CEO, Adrienne Giannone, Edge is "very selective" in choosing its business partners. However, Giannone says her company was impressed by Actronix's "commitment to quality and dedication to keeping manufacturing jobs in the United States." Additionally, Giannone says she was "intrigued" by Actronix's partnership with the Arkansas Department of Corrections, which helps to rehabilitate and train that state's women's prison inmates.
"Our core values and product offering are very synergistic with Actronix," concludes Giannone. "This collaboration is a win-win, and provides a total solution to our customers."
