May 8, 2008 -- Brady Corporation announced that it has redesigned the Prinzing Large Ball Valve Lockout device to improve the product's overall effectiveness, and is offering a free upgraded part to those currently using the old design.
The product upgrade program is being implemented to ensure the safe and effective use of the Prinzing Large Ball Valve Lockout device by providing a tighter fit with a wider range of valves. The previous version of the lockout device may be rendered ineffective under certain circumstances. All current and future production of this device will include the redesigned component, reports Brady.
The devices included in the product upgrade program are the Prinzing Large Ball Valve Lockout, product numbers BS08A, BS08A-YW, BS08A-GN, and BS08A-BU. The device eligible for upgrade can be identified by the "Prinzing" logo that is molded into the top of the device. The upgraded part can be identified by the white Label stating "Brady Corporation Large Ball Valve Product Enhancement."
