Hirose, Future Electronics ink distribution agreement

January 3, 2008 -- Electronic connector manufacturer Hirose Electric U.S.A., Inc. and Future Electronics have signed a distribution agreement covering North and South America. The agreement takes effect January 1, 2008.

"We were drawn to Future Electronics because of their long and enviable record of achievement in the industry and in their strength through their large staff and offices located throughout the Americas," says Nick Shukuya, Hirose's general manager and executive vice president. "They will be a key element to our continued growth."

Hirose designs and manufactures a range of compact, lightweight, durable electronic connectors for applications including mobile computers, communications, automotive and medical. Hirose's North American operation is based in Simi Valley, CA., where its 40,000 square-foot facility houses marketing, sales, engineering, manufacturing and warehousing operations.
