Newark offers Tyco's heat-shrink tubing products

November 12, 2007 -- Newark announced that it is now carrying Tyco Electronics' Raychem brand adhesive-lined heat-shrink tubing products.

Specifically designed for insulating, protecting and sealing electrical connections and joints in low-voltage cable, the Tyco RHW series features heavy-wall adhesive-lined polyolefin heat-shrink tubing designed for easy installation. The product is highly resistant to impact, abrasion, chemicals, moisture and oils found in harsh factory environments.

The DWP-125 heat-shrinkable tubing kit environmentally seals and protects a wide variety of electrical applications, including wire splices, breakouts and connector-to-cable transitions. According to Tyco, the product's flexible 3:1 shrink ratio allows for insulation and sealing of irregular shapes, and its adhesive-lining bonds to a wide variety of materials, including plastics, rubber and metals.

Additionally, Tyco Electronics' Raychem brand MiniSeal splices are now available for distribution through Newark.

"We're proud to offer maintenance professionals the broadest selection of heat shrink tubing products," comments Paul Buckley, senior VP, Product & Supplier Management, at Newark.
